Hhhmm... No, wait. IIRC, avahi is able to tell resolvconf about new DNS 
servers.

I really meant that you can resolve hostnames by using 
avahi-resolve-host-name; so there is no need to keep the hosts (hostname+IP 
addr) in a file. IMHO, when you need the list of computers in the network you 
just look for them.
