Update on the problem with core-browse-services:
The problem only appears to happen when more than one machine on the
same segment is running this program. I have also added an exit(0) on the
case AVAHI_BROWSER_ALL_FOR_NOW so that I can run the program cyclically
until it fails:
time while browse; do []; done
If only one machine on a segment is running this, then it runs without
failure for hours. Adding another machine causes the failure within a
few minutes:
