I looked on planet.freedesktop.org to see about services, and Keith
Packard has written up a detailed document talking about their
restructuring.

Generally though, I really am disappointed with how they decided to make
major upgrades rather than simply do what they say they will.

Ok, I will not rant about this fiasco anymore. I want to support the
community.
