Instead of having arguments on here about what is what and where by people who have or havent made a complete or partial study of copyright, we could have our own "pocket lawyers" that we could turn to when disagreements are present, or when knowledge is not enough. (e.g. The current debian logo thread.)

This person or group of people could be the ones to follow up, find out, research what the legal standing is of various reported cliparts are, if it falls into those grey areas. I don't really want to be doing this as a librarian.

I think having a group of people/lawyers who have made copyright their study area a necessity, and something that would be beneficial to OCAL at large. I'm not a lawyer, and don't want to be. Is there someone else? <grin>
There are many grey and or shady areas that we layman and designers don't know about. I tend to err on the side of caution when it comes to removing clipart or infringing clipart from the site.

Perhaps a team of copyright lawyers in different countries would be a good thing to have up OCAL's sleeve.

One at least in the US because OCAL is based in the US, and is a registered US website.
