Hi susan, long time no hear. While I am all for CREATE to get registered as an unbrella organization, if you have a suitable student or even just ideas *for this year*, you can probably vaguely put it under the linux foundations' openprinting list:http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/gsoc/2012-gsoc-printing-projects
(after all, you are going to want to print the patterns out eventually, right?... by the way, how is the pen-plotting idea coming along?)
