Hi, I have a question regarding a Lab Session at LGM. On the same floor as the main amphitheater there is a large room where we will have computers with large screen available to anyone, fully loaded with LGM software. That's for the LGM duration, 4 days. We can do whatever we want in that room, it's open. No questions on that. (I mention it only to make sure we have the full picture). The week-end before, there will be quite a few people already in Montreal and I have started to discuss with ICGQ (Québec Institute of Graphic Communications) about a Lab Session. We would have access to a large room with computers, power and bandwidth so we could demo our software to local people interested in the LGM but not aware of the F/LOSS world. Mainly, professional graphic designers and whoever would be willing to attend. The ICGQ would promote the event and open its doors for free. Now, while we are discussing this marvelous idea, we realize that the week-end before LGM happens to be the one with Mothers' Day (Sunday May 8) and ICGQ is letting me know that this would not be the better week-end for such activity since a lot of people might be away in their family for the week-end. They then propose we do the Lab day on the Saturday AFTER LGM. Hence my question to you... What do you think ? Will there be more developers willing to go to ICGQ after or before LGM ? I will meet again with the people from ICGQ on Monday. Your input will help us make the best out of this offer. Louis
