Jerry Katzman Md Which Omega 3 Oil is Right for You?
So you know you want to take an Omega 3 oil but you're not sure which one is
the right one for you? Navigating anything new can be a frustrating
experience to say the least. I'm going to make navigating the world of Omega
3 oil as easy as possible for you.
Cod Liver Oil vs. Fish Oils
The first question many people ask is what's the difference between cod
liver oil and other Omega 3 oil? The answer is vitamins.
Cod liver oil contains high amounts of vitamins A and D. These vitamins can
become toxic if you overload on them, and that's very likely to happen if
you're taking cod liver oil as your source of Omega 3.
Grocery Store Omega 3 Oil
The Omega 3 oil you can pick up at your local grocery store may serve its
purpose, but do you really know what's in it? Let's face it, you can't
always trust the labels.
The labels are meant to sell you the product, not necessarily tell you
everything about what's in it.
Many store-brand omega 3 oils contain unrefined fish oil. This means that if
there were toxins in the fish that were processed to make the fish oil,
you're ingesting those toxins each and every time you take the Omega 3 oil.
Since these toxins can be as serious as mercury toxins, it doesn't sound
like such a good idea does it?
