Yes.  The python checks fixed a bug where configure would fail if Python
wasn't detected even when detection was set to auto.  I assume the
changes for GLib would be wanted too.

Thanks for spotting this regression.  We need to be a bit more careful
now that we are moving closer to 1.0.
