Session dbus-daemons not killed after logout

In short:

Using Fedora Core 6 here with Gnome 2.16. For every user that logs in 
and out the 'dbus-daemon' and 'gnome-vfs-daemon' remain in the 
processlist. After a month of users loggin in and out i have hundereds 
of these processes in ps!!

 From what i can tell in fedora it's launched from xinitrc(-common) as 
follows:

[ -x /usr/bin/dbus-launch -a -z "$DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS" ] && 
DBUS_LAUNCH="/usr/bin/dbus-launch --exit-with-session"

but is NOT killed at logout!! I can't find much on this on the web. Hope 
this list can shine some ligth on this. This issue exists already for a 
very long time b.t.w.
