I guess this would involve intercepting the Introspect() before it ever 
goes over the wire, or something like that. Which may mean there's no 
need to do this in many bindings or implementations.

(In fact the whole "Local" thing is kind of a libdbus feature, not a 
protocol feature, come to think of it. The protocol feature might be 
purely to reserve the "Local" namespace so implementations can use it 
without spoofing or namespace collision concerns.)
