org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.LimitsExceeded

Morning All,
 
I'm receiving the following error after my application has been running for a whille.
 
DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.LimitsExceeded: Connection ":1.4" is not allowed to add more match rules (increase limits in configuration file if required)
 
After looking around for a short while it seems as if I'm using the standard configuration for this stuff in my session.conf file.
 
<limit name="max_match_rules_per_connection">50000</limit>
 
Am I right to assume that this is down to a bug in the application? I would love to track this down and figure out what's causing it, is this likely to be a bug in my high level python application? or in the actual dbus service I'm connecting too from python?
 
I'm really not sure what to make of this, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
