Has any progress been made towards running DBus without the gnome mainloop?  My only problem with it is that they don't seem to unlock the GIL, so I can't spawn the mainloop off in a thread and continue running my program (which is written and generally working).  I'd really like to not have to figure out how to re-work everything so that it's driven by the Gnome loop, since that doesn't seem like a lot of fun...
