<html> <head> <style></style> </head> <body class='hmmessage'> Hi, I am a newbie trying to use the DBus, I went through the tutorials in the http://dbus.freedesktop.org/ website, but still not able to get the examples codes to run successfully. I also tried to run the python example getting the details of the network adapter in the website http://dbus.freedesktop.org/doc/dbus-python/doc/tutorial.html but not successful. I tried to use the glib binding example but still not any success... After all these futile exercise of mine, i am getting a feeling that all these examples are written or tested  long time back and since then there might have been lots of changes and thats the reason I am not successful. :( Can anybody please help me to get through this initial hurdle of getting the example codes to run successfully? I will be interested in the Glib binding and the Python binding. I am using Ubuntu 9.04 distribution.
