Over the years we had several reports on DejaVu Sans causing problems in print
and with .pdf creation. However we were never able to find out what was causing
this. Especially since it seems only to affect specific (mostly older)
applications running under Windows.

DejaVu Sans covers a wider range of characters than most fonts and it makes use
of several OpenType features. It is possible that some programs are just not
able to deal with them. Another possibility is that there is a bug somewhere
and the programs that do work have better error handling.

Either way, any information on this issue would be appreciated.
