I'm assuming that all the data in the "mirror" box in <a
href="http://distributions.freedesktop.org/wiki/AppStream/Implementation">this
image</a> is going to be nicely wrapped into a package container
file eventually so that cross-distro Linux packages can be hosted on
websites and downloaded more easily, instead of downloading three
files?<br>

For right now I'm assuming you're more focused on getting the
packaged data into a format that can be cross-distro for hosting on
a server so it can be made available to all Linux users, but I was
just wondering if anyone had considered the container file format
that the universal data could reside in?<br>

I think it'd be great to eventually make an AppStream container
file, or you could call it either officially or unofficially a Linux
package file.<br>
