OK then, let's assume it's because GL_ARB_shadow_ambient is missing, therefore
it's not a bug, it's a feature.

I'd like to have a separate bug for this issue, though it's not like I know how
to fix it.

Since there is no other reported misrendering related to this bug, I am closing
it.
