is airlied's git tree broken ?

I am getting this kind of error when I try to do 'git fetch' from
git://people.freedesktop.org/~airlied/linux.git

remote: error: Could not read ec862f894f7870430e4ff5a9249eaa94d368d220

remote: aborting due to possible repository corruption on the remote side.
fatal: protocol error: bad pack header

I see a similar error if I try to do a fresh clone:

Cloning into 'linux'...

remote: aborting due to possible repository corruption on the remote side.
fatal: early EOF

Is there a known problem with that repository ?
