That's irrelevant, really. The DT is considered an ABI, and thus any
introduction of new DT bindings need to be properly documented and
reviewed. It's not negotiable.

If your bindings is not always used, is of secondary secondary to you,
and you don't want to bother with that discussion, then you always have
the option to remove it from the next version of your series.

I mean, if it's not important and we'll always work by default, why are
you so against removing it then?

I've told you already why we don't like kernel parameters and thus our
motivations against it, but it seems like you don't have any to keep
them?
