At the time, <a href="attachment.cgi?id=64759" name="attach_64759" title="Fixup mc programing">attachment 64759</a> <a href="attachment.cgi?id=64759&action=edit" title="Fixup mc programing">[details]</a> <a href='page.cgi?id=splinter.html&bug=55692&attachment=64759'>[review]</a> was proposed and a similar patch ended up being commited that fixed <a class="bz_bug_link bz_status_RESOLVED bz_closed" title="RESOLVED DUPLICATE - Latest radeon dri driver on HD6950 with GRUB set gfxpayload=$linux_gfx_mode put the display in a flickering state" href="show_bug.cgi?id=43655">bug 43655</a> for me (but it never fixed <a class="bz_bug_link bz_status_REOPENED " title="REOPENED --- - Radeon HD 6450 (NI CAICOS) screen corruption on boot" href="show_bug.cgi?id=42373">bug 42373</a> on NI CAICOS).
