Can you dump the registers with avivotool
(<a href="http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~airlied/radeontool/">http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~airlied/radeontool/</a>) from both radeon and fglrx?
E.g., cold boot with radeon and dump the registers:
sudo avivotool regmatch '*' > radeon.regs
then boot with fglrx and switch radeon:
sudo avivotool regmatch '*' > fglrx.regs
and post the outputs here?</pre>
