plus upstream DTO stuff patched in: Dito.
plus Alex' patch: Glitches after about 20 seconds
So the suggested modification makes things much worse.
I'm also still failing to grasp how this thing works. Wouldn't you want as
large values as possible to get the highest amount of precision?</pre>
