What else should it be? I'm really wondering if we shouldn't just disable UVD
on Macs (with an option to override it of course).

Yes, indeed UVD is ring 5 and that is not present in older kernels. Are you
sure that the system instability is related to this? Cause except for non
working UVD it shouldn't affect the driver at all.</pre>
