<pre>If ret=1 just after ni_restrict_performance_levels_before_switch(),
ni_dpm_set_power_state() doesn't go any further and there is no hang. So, it
seems like if the problem is not with
ni_restrict_performance_levels_before_switch() but instead with a combination
of some sort.</pre>
