You can run the game manually, you just need Steam running. For instance, if
your Steam library is in the standard location:
$ cd ~/.steam/steam/SteamApps/common/Painkiller\ Hell\ \& \Damnation
$ R600_DEBUG=ps,vs ./PKHDGame.sh</pre>
