Your dmesg shows that you have a ASIC_ProfilingInfo v3.1 table on your board. You might want to try a patch from <a class="bz_bug_link bz_status_RESOLVED bz_closed" title="RESOLVED FIXED - [HAWAII] atombios stuck executing errors" href="show_bug.cgi?id=73420">bug #73420</a>: attachement #93015. The issue itself is tracked in <a class="bz_bug_link bz_status_NEW " title="NEW --- - [HAWAII][DPM] New Version 3.1 for ASIC_ProfilingInfo / ci_upload_dpm_level_enable_mask failed" href="show_bug.cgi?id=74250">bug #74250</a>. Other than that I can report Civ5, Half Life 2 and even Metro Last Light working on Hawaii now (native via Steam) :-) Kai: did changing "Composition type" also fix the corrupted glyphs or just the title bars ?
