If you can download the source to your kernel, copy the patch to the root of
the kernel tree then do the following:
patch -p1 -i dpm_vblank_dump.diff
make -j5
sudo make modules_install
sudo make install
Then reboot and select the new kernel from the grub menu.</pre>
