Hmm, well, it isn't something adds by the hand. check config.log. you'll see
why it wasn't added there.

well, it shouldn't be different. apparently some logic to store the charset in
fontconfig seems not work on sparc. dunno why. need to investigate more.
though I don't have sparc machine here.</pre>
