Yeah, my teeth still hurt :/

I'll contact the authors to clarify the license of the "post-cleanup"
data, with the freedesktop list in Cc:.  They may not be opposed to
free them actually.

Though, if http://twitter.com/stephenjsweeney is to be trusted,
Stephen Sweeney just went on vacation in a place that lacks Internet,
and I can't find contact information for Richard. It makes sense to
wait until Stephen is back.


I think I'll still file a RM: request against starfighter and
viruskiller, and re-add those packages when/if we can package them
without the "stolen"/pre-cleanup data.  It's been a year already.

I think we need a clear statement from the authors to get this over
with for good, preferrably in the source archive or at least on a
public mailing list.

I'd love to hear from Hans about the free replacements status for the
data btw.  Was any progress made eventually?  Afaics starfighter and
viruskiller are absent from recent Fedora releases, and the blob*
packages lack sound files.
