Hi,
Just a note to mention I'm working on packaging Gargoyle for Debian:
http://ccxvii.net/gargoyle/
It's an Interactive Fiction (text adventure) interpreter that handles
multiple game formats, including Z-Code, Blorb, TADS, etc. The game
is displayed in a Gtk window with image&sound support, unlike the
text-only interpreters that Unix-based platforms were stuck to for the
past few years. It also properly supports Unicode.
If your distro already includes Frotz or QTads, this can be a nice
addition :)
If you're interested in packaging it too, note that I removed 2
non-free interpreters, replaced a non-free font (using a different
loading technique for licensing reasons), and compiled SDL_sound
dynamically.
The packaging can be found at:
http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-games/gargoyle-free.git;a=tree
You'll be mostly interested in the package description:
http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-games/gargoyle-free.git;a=blob;f=debian/control;hb=HEAD
and the patches mentioned above:
http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-games/gargoyle-free.git;a=tree;f=debian/patches;hb=HEAD
The patches are being discussed with upstream at:
http://groups.google.com/group/garglk-dev/browse_thread/thread/62a038ac4986d2a
Cheers!
