incomplete patch to use smc with cegui-0.8.x

Hi All,

I started working on $subject, but I've given up. Still I wanted to share what I've
done so far in case someone else wants to pick up where I stopped.

So attached is what I have, this applies on top of the patches needed for cegui-0.7.x
