fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly : repo sync

HI,
I Am getting this error after I put local_manifest.xml in the ./repo
directory and do a repo sync.
Can i directly clone the gstreamer_bundle by issuing this command  ->git
clone git://git.collabora.co.uk/git/user/reynaldo/gstreamer_ndk_bundle,
  inside ANDROID_SOURCE_DIR/external/gstreamer_aggregate (manually making *
gstreamer_aggregate* inside the external folder)

Plz advie.
