Bug#: 97848
Product: GStreamer
Version: 0.4.1
OS: Linux
OS Details: Debialn (unstable, up to date)
Status: NEW
Resolution:
Severity: normal
Priority: Normal
Component: gst-player
AssignedTo: gstreamer-maint at bugzilla.gnome.org
ReportedBy: vipie at ulyssis.org
QAContact: gstreamer-maint at bugzilla.gnome.org
TargetMilestone: 0.4.0
URL:
Summary: fullscreen is not XINERAMA aware

When playing an .avi file, the 'fullscreen' option enlarges gst-player over
my two heads, and my second head isn't capable of showing the other 'half'
of the avi.

There probably are some drivers/setups which can handle panning a movie
over 2 heads so maybe this should be an option.

I also want to note that dualhead/triplehead isn't that rare nowadays, an
'old' matrox G450 supports this very well, and I know a number of linux
users that have dualhead cards, or a second 'cheap' pci card. This isn't a
niche anymore.

My specific hardware: mga G450

regards, koenraad
