+This is a verbatim copy of the optimal scheduler changes done in head.
+ - implement refcounting on chains/groups to make sure they are not removed   
+   while iterating.
+ - clear queued buffers when a seek/flush event is performed on a pad.
+ - set correct flags on new groups/chains 
+ - update group status when element is added.
+ - don't try to remove decoupled elements from a group.
+ - more debug info
+ - robustness fixes
