+An application must never segfault on any given input. And since ld 
+terminated with a segfault according to your log there _must_ be a

+You sound like a clueful user so I would advise to recompile ld with 
+debugging symbols, extract the exact command that makes ld crash and 
+execute that in gdb. And after that I would open a bug against ld.
