Bug#: 122046
Product: GStreamer
Version: HEAD CVS
OS: Linux
OS Details:
Status: NEW
Resolution:
Severity: normal
Priority: Normal
Component: gst-plugins
AssignedTo: gstreamer-maint at bugzilla.gnome.org
ReportedBy: ds at schleef.org
QAContact: gstreamer-maint at bugzilla.gnome.org
TargetMilestone: HEAD
URL:
Summary: osssink should call try_set_caps() instead of "enjoy the noise"

In the cases where osssink currently says "enjoy the noise", it should
decide whether the caps are close enough, where "close enough" is defined
by a parameter (probably). If the caps are close enough, good. If not, it
should attempt to renegotiate caps on the sink pad with the new parameters.
