bug against 0.6, broken gconf data (should be set by gstreamer-properties from
gnome-media)

if osssink is not present :
  - you run a alsa only system
  - you're missing gst-plugins
  - your gstreamer registry is fucked up (gst-register)

closing, please reopen if it is still an issue with actual versions

oh, one more thing : gst-player is evil, use totem/rhythmbox/muine/amarok instead
