+automake in itself is a wrapper script that chooses the good version
+depending of a env var : WANT_AUTOMAKE="1.8" => 1.8.x
+
+gstreamer & gst-plugins also use mkinstalldirs but it is not in the
+CVS because those are generated files.

+so, does gst-editor & player need autogen to run autopoint ??
