The GStreamer Documentation buglist does not list a bug for people to request
updates to the website documentation and FAQ, so I am creating this bug.


Regarding the FAQ document section 5 "Using GStreamer":
- section 5.2 mentions different sink plugins, but gives no advice on which one
to choose.  In my Fedora Core 2 Gnome case, I decided on ALSA (over OSS).  There
could be a note saying "if your distro includes kernel 2.6 or higher, ALSA will
probably be the best choice" or something.
- makes no mention of the 'gstreamer-properties' program to set the default
source and sink.  This could be section 5.3.5 or something.  It should be noted
that you run this program from your user account, NOT as root (my other problem,
duh).
- should have a note about using gconf-editor to edit properties (again as your
user, not root), where they can be found, and where gstreamer-properties saves
your selections to (I still don't know - the folders I found are mostly empty).
