 GStreamer | gst-plugins-base | Ver: HEAD CVS

Summary: libvisual element needs to support opengl
           Product: GStreamer
           Version: HEAD CVS
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: Normal
         Component: gst-plugins-base
        AssignedTo: wingo at pobox.com
        ReportedBy: wingo at pobox.com

We need to support opengl-rendering libvisual plugins. The first level would be
giving it an off-screen opengl context, grabbing pixels into buffers and pushing
them out as normal video frames. The best, though, would be for gl-capable sinks
to return subclasses of GstBuffer from their bufferalloc functions, and for
gl-capable renderers to peel the gl context off the buffer directly.
