Seems to be a problem with this debug output:

"snd_pcm_hw_params_set_period_size_near (this->handle, hw_params, &period_size,
0)": Invalid argument
ERROR: from element /pipeline0/decodebin0/mad0: Internal GStreamer error: pad
problem.  File a bug.

Note that because it was doing the same thing with 0.8.9 I have downgraded to
0.8.8 (the latest "stable" marked on my distro, If you think I MUST use 0.8.9
to get this debug log please say, thanks).
