What do you mean by 'lags a lot'? You mean the audio lags behind? Or the video?

This file plays perfectly fine for me with 0.8.11/CVS and 0.9 CVS and exactly
the same as in xine or vlc.

How do you test playback of the file? totem?

What audiosink are you using? esd by any chance?
