Richard, could you do:

 % G_DEBUG=fatal_warnings gdb --args gst-editor --gst-fatal-warnings
 Welcome to the Gnu debugger bla
 bla ..
 (gdb) run
 ... wait until it aborts after first warning ...
 (gdb) bt
 ... paste the output here and the previous five lines ...
 (gdb) kill
 (gdb) quit
 %
