I think patches should go over there, because that makes it easier for others
to find/see them, and the pitfdll maintainer doesn't track GStreamer bugzilla
at the moment.

I've pinged one of the other pitfdll developers though, maybe he'll apply it.
Certainly sounds like a useful configure option (although I wonder why this
isn't done via environment variables).
