 GStreamer | gst-plugins-base | Ver: HEAD CVS

Summary: [multifdsink] document multithreaded use of multifdsink
           Product: GStreamer
           Version: HEAD CVS
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: Normal
         Component: gst-plugins-base
        AssignedTo: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
        ReportedBy: wingo at pobox.com
         QAContact: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
     GNOME version: Unspecified
   GNOME milestone: Unspecified

Multifdsink runs in two threads, and an application using it will run in
another. The API of multifdsink has provisions for the user to emit signals on
the object, and for multifdsink to emit signals on itself. The threading
interaction of these is complicated. This is a note for some belgian with two
last names to take a look into documenting this properly, preferably with
tests.
