Distribution: Ubuntu 6.06 (dapper)
Package: GStreamer
Severity: Normal
Version: GNOME2.14.2 unspecified
Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu
Synopsis: PCM OSS mixer element missing
Bugzilla-Product: GStreamer
Bugzilla-Component: gst-plugins
Bugzilla-Version: unspecified
Description:
Description of Problem:

Since I've upgraded the OSS plugin to gstreamer-0.10,
gnome-volume-control doesn't show the PCM mixer element anymore. I
understand it is done intentionally because PCM would seem a "duplicate"
of the master volume control, but believe me, in my case, it is not.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Use the emu10k1 OSS driver (yes, and not alsa's one)
2. Run gnome-volume-control
3. See, there is no PCM mixer element.

Actual Results:

No PCM mixer element

Expected Results:

A PCM mixer element present in the list of mixer elements provided by
gstreamer.

How often does this happen?

Every single time.
