Looks more like a bug in the dynamic loader or glib to me (unless we pass an
invalid string of course).

csirkefog at gmail.com: Can you reproduce this?

If yes, could you install the following packages:

  - libc6-dbg
  - libglib2.0-0-dbg
  - libgstreamer0.10-0-dbg

and try to cause the crash again please (possibly by adding/removing the mixer
applet)?
