Henry: I think what you're seeing is a different issue, which I think might
have been fixed (maybe it was #354773, but there was also another bug I can't
find right now).

The main issue in this report seems to be a driver bug, ie. not swapping chroma
planes for YV12 vs. I420 format. mplayer usually uses YV12, we usually use
I420, that's why mplayer "gets it right" (=luck).
