Solution to the problem

This makes my test program spit :
$ ./audio
alsasrc device=hw:0,0 name=SiS SI7012
alsasrc device=hw:0,1 name=SiS SI7012
alsasrc device=hw:1,0 name=SiS SI7012
which is the best alsa is able to make as a user-friendly string (sic).
