GStreamer | gstreamer (core) | Ver: HEAD CVS
Summary: Internal GStreamer error: negotiation problem when
calling totem
Product: GStreamer
Version: HEAD CVS
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: Normal
Component: gstreamer (core)
AssignedTo: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
ReportedBy: idallen at idallen.ca
QAContact: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
GNOME version: Unspecified
GNOME milestone: Unspecified
In Mozilla, I entered the URL rtsp://199.60.222.47/cap.sdp and Mozilla
redirected me to "an external application".
Then the Totem Movie Player started up and said:
Totem could not play 'rtsp://199.60.222.47/cap.sdp'. Internal
GStreamer error: negotiation problem. Please file a bug at
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer .
The little "Untitled" window that tells me to file a bug report gives
no version information for any of the software, which makes filing an
accurate bug report difficult. From the command line, Totem says:
$ totem --version
Gnome totem 1.4.1
I can't find any software named "GStreamer":
$ which GStreamer
GStreamer: Command not found.
$ which gstreamer
gstreamer: Command not found.
so I can't tell you the version number of that, yet you tell me I should
file a bug report on it, and Bugzilla insists on a version number.
I can't find a version number - sorry. Surely the little window that
tells me to file a bug report could include the version information?
So this is really two bug reports - (1) please fix your bug report
request window to show the version numbers of the software for which you
want me to file a bug report and (2) please fix the bug that led to the
window appearing. I realize that I should split this into two bug
reports and file each one separately under the proper categories.
P.S. I'm not running a Gnome desktop environment. (I use vtwm.)
Bugzilla doesn't have "NONE" as a valid GNOME version selection.
Maybe that means this is three bug reports?
