Looks like a libcdparanoia or kernel issue to me. This error message can only
happen if src->d->tracks is 0 as far as I can see.

Does

 $ cdparanoia -Q -d /dev/cdrom

work as expected (printing a list of tracks with start/end sectors etc.)?
